About Us

Who are we?

Well, basically we are a group of deaf people who have one thing in common. We are feminists. Or at least interested in feminism.

What do we do?

We want to explore all the issues related to feminism, and to discuss them in relation to our part in the Deaf community as well as the community as a whole.

We do this through a variety of mediums - attending art exhibitions, theatre shows, talks, informal gatherings. The list goes on!

What is our aim?

The group aims to empower Deaf women through education, exploration, discussion, and activity. We want to address the various issues that Deaf women face, and work together to resolve those issues.

It is our belief that this can only be achieved if we get together in the first place to work out what those issues are. Then the next steps will naturally folllow. The path to enlightenment and empowerment lies in education and exploration.

We are a very new group, united by our vision of equality for all - men and women, deaf and hearing. We look forward to seeing the realisation of our aims, and hope that you will join us on our journey.
